Oak Hammock Animal Hospital Making an Impact in the Sebring Community

Oak Hammock Animal Hospital has a long history of serving the pets and families of Sebring and the surrounding counties. Therefore, Dr. Chris O'Sullivan and his wife Tara don't want to just treat their patients, they want to be an active part of the community. Oak Hammock Animal Hospital is part of the Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce, while Dr. O'Sullivan is a member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association.

In October 2017 the hospital participated for the first time in Lake Placid's annual "Barktoberfest," an event promoting local pet adoption. All proceeds from the event go to local animal rescues. Oak Hammock Animal Hospital was one of several veterinary practices present at the event to encourage responsible pet care and to provide pet owners with valuable information about the importance of things like wellness care and spaying and neutering pets.

Furthermore, each year, Oak Hammock Animal Hospital sponsors several local students participating in Future Farmers of America competitions. Dr. O'Sullivan grew up in Sebring and is excited to have the opportunity to give back to his hometown. He and Tara are members of St. Catherine Catholic Church, and are looking forward to continuing their involvement in local community activities.
